Plot Summary

Felix (Daniel Olbrychski), a Polish emigrant staying in France, is applying for a job. However, in order to take it, he must first legalize his stay. To this end, he decides on a fictitious marriage with France. The girl's fake wedding with a forty-year-old Pole is also suitable, because it will improve her finances. Unfortunately, things get complicated shortly after the ceremony. The "married couple" must move in together to validate the marriage in the eyes of the relevant authorities. In addition, Felix likes his new wife more and more and would like to consummate the relationship. France, however, prefers to stick to earlier arrangements, which means that the common "cohabitation" is not perfect. Soon, however, both parties get to know each other better and the proverbial ice cream begins to melt.
