Family fare, Australian view

I make these comments having seen the file many years ago.

I put this file in the category of "early 'Disney-like' family films with the addition of a bit of Australian realism." For instance you will see teen (pre-teen?) smoking; such an activity not "wholesome" enough in the early American Disney world but not exorcised here in the quest for purity and goodness. I have seen other similar, pleasant films of Australian origin.

In the USA at least , it seems the original target audience hardly exists, unfortunately so in my opinion.

About as exhilarating as the title suggests!

I had the misfortune to sit through this snooze-inducer some fifteen years ago and had completely forgotten about it until coming across the thing by pure chance in the IMDb this morning.

All I recall, pretty much all that ANYONE is ever going to recall, is that Matt, (played by the never-to-be-heard-of-again Brett Adlard) is a strikingly uninteresting teenager who has reason to believe he owns a racecourse. There WAS slightly more to it - but not much!

I think the only reason I watched it in the first place is that Red Symons composed the score (I believe in collaboration with Martin Armiger) and I had quite a bit of time for the ex-"Skyhooks" guitarist who had moved on to HEY HEY IT'S SATURDAY!
