Great Spoof

Ginger Lynn stars in this spoof of "Blame It on Rio", featuring the actors talking directly to the camera, like in the original. There is also some infidelity, which makes for some great sex scenes. The best including: the Krista Lane/Lois Ayres/Tom Byron threeway on the car hood, the girl/girl Ginger/Barbara Dare scene in the bathroom, and the seduction of Ginger by Jamie Gillis. The funniest scene would have to be Barbara Dare and Peter North trying physically impossible sexual positions. I highly recommend this movie. Luckily, it is available on DVD. Unfortunately, most of the other Ginger Lynn Vivid Videos are not. Hopefully, one day they will all be released. The only others available on DVD are "Ginger On the Rocks" and "Club Ginger".

80's Staple Delivers

It'd be silly to mention the plot, which deals with two best friends seducing each other's fathers before seducing each other -- what sets apart "Blame It On Ginger" from other 80's video cheapies is, of course, Ginger Lynn herself. Her tongue-in-cheek quality and substantial skills start in sharp contrast to the 90's wave of gonzo adult filmmaking. This is just plain good, trashy fun with a fine, pre-silicone days supporting cast. Recommended.

It represents the virtues of the genre in the mid-eighties

For me, this movie has the seminal components of what were adult films in the eighties and it never has been again. A remake of Stanley Donen´s 'Blame it on Ginger', it also has the same plot, which makes a difference with other adult movies, and a very fresh sense of humor. Highly recommended.
