After so many years as America's #1 top boxoffice superstar for most of the decade, the wabbit made his move to television and it was there that he dominated Saturday Morning TV for an impressive and incredible 36 years until he made his final appearance from Saturday Morning TV in 1997. The rabbit still had the laughs, and he brought along all his favorite Warner Bors.characters like Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Sylvester & Tweety, and also fellow sidekick Daffy Duck. It was there that his show was #1 throughout three impressive decades and this is what made Bugs Bunny an American institution to this day. It started out as "The Bugs Bunny Show" on ABC,then it went to CBS during the 70's and 80's as "The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour",and then "The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show"(which ran for two hours),and then on to NBC as "The Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck Show",and in the last decade back to ABC as "The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Hour",and so forth. Bugs' show will live on in reruns on Cartoon Network, but Bugs has beaten out the competition(including one Disney character who you will never see on Saturday Mornings besides Donald Duck),and is still America's favorite rabbit. Still brings out the kid in all of us.
