The Wizard of Oz (1939)
The star fly is a pink ball of light that speaks with a feminine voice, much like Glenda, and at the end tells Orin "he had the power all along".
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977)
Dag is clearly based on Han Solo, the ship on C3PO, the hilt on a lightsaber, etc.
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Zygon tortures Dag in much the same way that Vader tortures Han
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)
The final ship battle is a lot like the destruction of the second Death Star, Zygon resembles Vader and gets his hand cut off, so many references it is uncanny.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)
People were digging for crystals as slaves in a mine. Also, Zygon resembles the master ordering people to dig in Temple of Doom. Oh, and there's even a mine cart chase, although it's very brief.
The Black Cauldron (1985)
Starchase also has a floating orb that leads the hero to a magic sword.
