Love B films, 28 May 1999
9/10
Author: anonymous from USA

I must say that I am starting an unfortunate career of following Sandahl Bergman flicks. Don't get me wrong...I've enjoyed what I've seen of Ms. Bergman's acting in Hell comes to Frogtown and in this film She(the book is interesting by the way). As long as you're not looking for anything special it's cool. I personally enjoyed it but I was lynched by the 3 friends I made watch it with me. Especially since the whole movie we were waiting for the plot to resemble anything that the back of the movie box. It never did. There was supposed to be this whole plot about the all powerful "She" falling for a man who might kill her. As far as I can tell there was a woman...who was generally referred to as "She"...and indeed there was a lead male character. But they never so much as looked at each other crosswise. But hey the real reason to watch the movie is ghouls, the god "She"(who has no powers as far as I can tell), the other god they meet who actually has powers and wants to "study" our heroine, the weird dividable guy(my fav)...it's a labyrinth of weirdness. I dug it.

I don't know what they were trying to do with this film but every frame is mindblowing. From flea markets of the apocalyptic future, to mummies with sun glasses and power tools, samurais, frankenstein monster, nazi football players, bikers, russian god and cult that is into bondage, the norks, the bizzare motorhead soundtrack, there is just so little to comprehend out of so much this throws at you. While some people may find it bad, and others find it great I find it great as well. Only wish they could do a sequel so we could really find out what happens to the norks. Despite some slow down this is a amazing non stop roller coaster ride another winner by Sandhal Bergman and 4 Stars out of 4.

Craziest movie ever!, 17 March 2006
10/10
Author: Charlie_Cat from London, England

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

This is the craziest B-Movie I have ever seen, and I have seen a great deal of B-Movies.

The plot is fairly nonexistent. The movie makes much more sense if you approach it as a dream, just a bunch of random, seemingly disjointed events occurring in some sort of order.

For instance, the main character is a goddess, worshiped by her people, but they never explain or show any of her goddess powers and she seems to be injured very easily.

In one early scene she inexplicably has to battle her way through a cave full of cardboard boxes with various Boris Karloff style Frankenstein monsters hiding in them. (I think they had a sale at the local Halloween store)

She then has to travel across a post-apocalyptic landscape populated with antagonists ranging from Nazi football players who battle over boxes of cereal to psychotic barbarians in pink tutus living in plastic tents.

Anyone who considers themselves a connoisseur of B-Movies must watch this film. Basically the movie is so bad, it loops back around to become good again, then loops again to become bad, then FINALLY loops again to become one of the craziest, silliest, and zaniest movies in the history of cinema.

Good B-Movie... This contains minor details about the movie, 25 May 2002
10/10
Author: revcoe1

The movie was not written for a mainstream audience, that should be obvious from the names of the primary male characters (What mainstream film would dare use Tom and Dick as names for major male charcters and then name a female character Hari?) The villans that the film's heroes encounter are also covered in humor factor (A large man should not wear a tutu... EVER... But the writers decided it would work for this film, and it did work.) Even the lines are blatantly aiming to make the audience laugh without trying (Who wouldn't laugh at: "Careful of my arms; they tend to fall off?" Especially when the man saying this line had the heroes cornered?)

In spite of the humor though, the witers managed to slip in a love story, a decent adventure adventure story, and some very creative characters... This is great Post-Apocalyptic Fantasy/Humor film... I want to see more movies made like this...

Was this shot on a camcorder?, 20 August 2001

Warning: Plot spoilers ahead!!

I feel I can only properly review this movie by describing the plot.

OK, first these guys with swords fight some Nazis dressed like football players, a boxer, and a guy in a tuxedo. Then this chick fights some knights (who appear out of boxes) and a frankenstein monster whose head explodes! Then the two guys and a chick are captured by some dudes wrapped like mummies (who wear sunglasses and carry chainsaws). Everybody escapes and they all end up at a pool party hosted by werewolves (I wish I was joking). They fight some Russian guy with telekenesis. They fight a guy in a ballerina dress and a gasmask. Finally they fight this guy who's a cross between Robin Williams and the Black Knight from Monty Python's Holy Grail. In the end, we get to see the names of all the people who were brave or stupid enough to take responsibility for all of this. Motorhead contributed to the soundtrack.

Well that's the plot, I hope I didn't ruin it for you!

By the way, this movie is TERRIBLE.

For the campy crowed, one of the best!, 3 July 2010
10/10

If you like the odd, different and unusual this movie is for you. Very hard to classify and way out there. You will be mesmerized by this film or you will totally dismiss it. Like a creative mind that bounces from inspiration to inspiration rather than dwelling on topic and refining it to perfection. Yes, this is a low budget, over-reaching film that is more like cue-cards for the real version, yet given the latitude and forgiveness for its primitive roughness its ideas will stick with you for life. And, you will find yourself asking from time to time "What ever happened to Quin Kessler?"

Think a world of fractured realities, where travel is crossing into parallel worlds. Places where a simple idea is taken to its bazaar extreme and dominated by that reality. The hero's travel from reality to reality, where mutation is the norm and what is normal the odd. The journey is the unifying force and reality itself the variable.

With the likes of Sandahl Bergman, as the heroine, with her dancer moves and classic beauty, the movie's short comings are easy to overlook. The first time I rented this movie, I watched it all night long way into morning, over and over again. It is like brain candy.

One of the strangest movie ever made, 24 November 2003
Author: pumaye from Firenze, Italy

This is an hysterical romp, a mix of Conan and Mad Max, made with a lot of colorful, unfinished ideas, mixed up in a total mess, a bad movie that is fun to watch because you ever know what will come next. In this, it is a great Z-movie, almost fun as Plan 9 from outer space, but if you search for a serious sword and sorcery clone, stay away. For fun of B-movies only

One of the greatest, 30 July 2006
9/10
Author: mijbril from Australia

B Grade movies of all time!!!! A whole list of freaks as long as your arm enter & leave as the heroes journey from point A to point F with rapid fire stopovers at points B, C, D & E, but it's all in good fun. Brainless without being brain-numbing, which explains why I must have seen this movie about 10 times & never been bored.

I wonder if you could turn this movie into a drinking game?? Say every time something stupid happened, though you'd be drunk within 15 minutes of the movie starting!!!! Still, many careers are started in B Grade classics like this. For example, this was an early role for the athletic Sandahl Bergman who played She. Bergman went on to have quite a respectable career as an actress. Alas, her sidekick, (the pretty Quin Kessler) & the love interest (David Goss) soon faded from public view along with their aspirations to conquer Hollywood's silverscreen (I wonder what did happen to them??) When a film-maker realises that they have no money, a silly script & a cast of actors who's only claim to being an actor is that they have paid their union dues but they are still determined to have a good time making a movie, you end up with She.

Final word of warning, if your friends are in anyway discerning about their movies & insist on A Grade releases only, then they may hate you forever if you make them watch this.

Fun movie to watch, 29 May 2005
10/10
Author: brad-350 from United States

I haven't watched this movie in years. I first saw it as a kid on USA up all night and fell in love with the fantasy aspect of it. The movie is a fun movie to watch and I loved it. It takes you from Vampire camps to werewolf camps and is very fascinating.

I honestly enjoyed this movie and a couple of times put down it was my favorite movie to watch when asked. This is just one of the fascinated movies played on USA up all night back when that Rhonda Glenn and Gilbery Gotphry used to host it. I wish they would start doing that again. Those were some fun times and this was a great movie to escape in.

Cheesy...but in a cool way., 22 February 2002
8/10
Author: Gracy_Lionheart

Well, this movie isn't exactly oscar material, but then again...with a title like she, who is going to take you seriously. This movie is one of the wackiest movies I have seen in a long time. Nothing beats 80's B movies. From a huge fat man who wears a pink tutu and a gas mask to guys writhing in their underwear...this movie has it all...all weirdness that is.

Anyway, if you don't like 80's B movies, then you probably aren't going to like this. As for me...I love zany things so this is definitely on my A list. 8
