The literal translation of the title of this film is: Spitting the Blood in the Black Valley.
This domestic attempt without the collaboration of Hong Kong was not a good film in that the it failed technically. The audio effect was especially poor, the sounds of the clashes of swords and other weapons was out of pace with the actual contact of weapons. Chinese technical ability was not up to that of Hong Kong yet.
