"Weird Al" On Why He Hasn't Done A Third Star Wars Song, How He Wrote "The Saga Begins" - Denver Comic Con 2017

"Weird Al" Yankovic is known for countless parody songs including "Eat It," "Amish Paradise," and "White & Nerdy," all covering different genres with different subjects used to populate the new lyrics. One subject Weird Al has covered twice is Star Wars. in 1985, Weird Al released the song "Yoda" on his Dare to Be Stupid album, a parody of the song "Lola" by The Kinks. Then, when a new Star Wars trilogy arrived in 1999, he released the parody of "American Pie" titled "The Saga Begins." This song was especially remarkable, with Weird Al singing the entire plot of Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace, a song I can sing every lyric to, even today. So, with another new Star Wars trilogy already begun, will there ever be a third Star Wars song by Weird Al?

Yankovic was asked just this during his panel at Denver Comic Con 2017. When will he do another Star Wars song? »
