The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

5/10

Women show cleavage.

A few passionate kisses by the main characters (there is mention that they exchanged their vows and are married)

There is one brief scene, about 5 seconds, where we see full view of a woman's nude breasts, right before an arrow is pulled from her chest.

Violence & Gore

7/10

The violence in the movie, despite not being very graphic, is present and rather bloody, and is likely the main reason of the PG-13 rating.

One of the main characters is a thief. He gets caught and is sent to a dungeon. The people in the dungeon are dirty and scruffy, and some of them have blood on their cloths, and they are also hardly ever fed.

A sword fight at the end. The victor's sword is stabbed into the loser's stomach.

Another person gets impaled by a sword (we see some blood).

A person is attacked and killed by a wolf (no blood, but could be scary for small children).

A person gets killed by a wolf trap (we see some blood).

A hawk swoops down and punctures some people's skin (there is some blood).

Some sword fights, not very explicit.

Profanity

4/10

There is very little swearing in this movie. There are a few uses of "damn", a couple of uses of "hell", one instance of "son of a bitch", and one use of "dick".

4/10

Wine is consummed at various times, and some people drink too much and get drunk.

5/10

This movie, despite not being very intense, scary, nor graphic, is still not aimed at children, as it contains some violence, and its story is too mature to be enjoyed or understood by young kids.

The scenes set in the prison can be scary to little kids.

There are a couple of scenes that are violent and/or somewhat sudden, and can be frightening to young children.

Total Explicit Rating: 25/50 (not recommended to children under 13 years old)
