Kicks : our stinky world's game !

Of course it's not a great movie, but it has a great idea. We live a stinky world, where people are all easy to be bought. And honesty, friendship, love.. are all parts of the game. You have to enjoy, but only if you are one of the players. Otherwise you'll be kicked for nothing but kicks, and no consolation for your humanity. Well, you have got to love this wild metaphoric reading.

The structure is loaded with internal meanings : Rich sick robots control less rich more sane humans, anyone searches now for love is a lonely lamb in a savage jungle, and it's where life = lying. It was really burning and unforgettable to discover that all the people around the heroine were acting, simply because all the people around you just do the same but no movie dared to say it this frank.

However if you think about it, you'll see that movies with the same satire actually exist, and even became so many during the last 40 years. The shocking idea of "you're living a lie" turned into not shocking anymore. From (The Wicker Man – 1973), (The Stepford Wives – 1975). To (The Game – 1997), (The Truman Show – 1998), (The Matrix – 1999). Reaching to (The Village – 2004), (The Island – 2005), and last but surely not the least the remakes that re-say the same pains; (The Stepford Wives – 2004) and (The Wicker Man – 2006) assuring that the matter just increases not the other way around. Yes, we live a lair world!

Despite many points of weakness that can be noticed, (Kicks) is a very important movie according to its cruel world which's not a dark vision for ours, only a part of its already true darkness. Finally, in front of an awful life like this, don't kick about or kick against. Do what the lead did; try to kick back, just to prove your innocence. It's the movie's best suggestion for all the not rich, not lair persons to survive through our stinky world's game.
