On this very gay day (4/24) in history as it relates to showbiz...

1873 Silent film director Robert Wiene, best known for The Cabinet of Dr Caligari (1920) born in Breslau (Note: other online sources disagree with the IMDb on this birthdate but it's always fun to think about Caligari)

1927 Oscar winning cinematographer Pasqualino de Santis born in Italy. Classics include Romeo and Juliet, The Damned, Death in Venice, and L'Argent

1930 Richard Donner, superstar director/producer of the 1980s, behind films like The Goonies, Lethal Weapon, and the first two Supermans. Apparently retired after 16 Blocks (2006) with Bruce Willis

1931 The Public Enemy starring James Cagney and Jean Harlow was enjoying its opening weekend at movie theaters. It was a big hit, ending in the top ten of its year. Stranger Things Season 2 Set Photo Teases New Character Mad Max

26 February 2017 5:47 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

When it comes to television, few shows dominated 2016 as much as Netflix’s Stranger Things did. Aside from just being very well made and executed, it introduced the world to a bunch of young actors who proved to be incredibly enjoyable to watch, and kept viewers hooked with some truly thrilling twists and turns that had everyone talking. It was a wild ride the whole way through, that’s for sure, but it did leave us with a ton of questions and unfortunately, we won’t be getting any answers for quite some time.

That’s because the show won’t return for season 2 until October, and with security being amped up to prevent plot leaks, those hoping to find out some of the secrets in advance might be left disappointed. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t get a few goodies along the way, and one such thing »

The Kids Get Ready For Halloween In New Stranger Things Season 2 Photo

9 February 2017 11:11 AM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Yesterday, Entertainment Weekly debuted a new look at the young cast of Netflix’s Stranger Things (including Eleven and her new hairdo) on their latest cover, and now they’ve published an interview with one half of the series’ creative team, Matt Duffer. Though we already had a rough idea of what to expect in terms of the timeline and whatnot, Duffer reveals some intriguing new plot details concerning Will Byers, Sheriff Hopper and a couple of the new characters that’ll be introduced.

For one, it seems we’ll be reconnecting with Will, Lucas, Mike and Dustin almost a full year after the events of the first season, as the boys are preparing for Halloween (see the image above). Outwardly, Will appears to have recovered from his time spent in the Upside Down, but Duffer reveals that he’s experiencing terrifying visions from the other dimension:

A version of this article originally appeared on EW.com.

It’s about as difficult to defeat a Demogorgon as it is to get secrets out of the cast and crew of Stranger Things. Production on the second installment of the Netflix retro phenom is in full swing, but little is known about its new plot … until now.

Stranger Things season 2 begins nearly a year after the first installment, on Halloween in Hawkins, Indiana. (The boys are going as the Ghostbusters, naturally.) Will has rejoined his pals after being rescued from Things’ alternate dimension, the Upside Down. But all is not well with young Mr. »

First Promo For Stranger Things Season 2 Welcomes You Back To Hawkins

5 February 2017 5:57 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

“The Demogorgon was destroyed but evil wasn’t.” That’s Shawn Levy, executive producer on Stranger Things, who warned EW late last week that while Eleven and the gang brought peace (and Will Byers!) back to Hawkins in 2016, the second season of Netflix’s über-popular original series will introduce a whole new form of horror.

Pegged to arrive in October, Netflix has now offered up our first look at Stranger Things season 2 in motion, which aired during Super Bowl Li. It’s an event often reserved for Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters, and already tonight we’ve locked eyes on stingers for Transformers: The Last Knight, Ghost in the Shell and The Fate of the Furious. But Stranger Things isn’t your average TV series, and buoyed by the show’s overwhelmingly positive reception last summer, it’s little wonder that the Powers That Be have drafted up early plans for a potential third season. »

David Harbour talks Stranger Things season 2 and Sean Astin’s character

24 January 2017 10:16 AM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

At the Fan2Sea Comic Con cast panel (via HollywoodLife), Stranger Things star David Harbour (Jim Hopper) has dropped some interesting information regarding the direction and plot of the second season of Netflix’s hugely popular television show.

“It’s a year later in the story, so there are several things that happened last year, like Will has come back,” said Harbour. “There are certain people in the town that know what happened, and then certain people that don’t know what happened. So there’s a lot of fall out with who knows what.”

Harbour also spilled the beans on the character Sean Astin will be playing, saying “We have Sean Astin… he’s Winona’s new boyfriend — much to the chagrin to the Chief of Police.”
