  • Spenser is a private investigator based in Boston. Now he's an immensely honorable man, who doesn't think twice of imposing his own brand of justice and of turning on his clients if they lie or are using him. He has a girlfriend, Susan, a psychiatrist. Hawk is also a profesional, who at one time was on the side of the devils but working with Spenser is making him moralistic. Spenser could also rely on Lt. Marty Quirk of the police department to help him out occasionally. While Sgt. Frank Belson doesn't appreciate his interference. During the second season, Susan was no longer there. Rita Fiori, an assistant D.A. would be Spenser's new squeeze. During the third season, Rita left and Susan returned. And Marty Quirk retired and left.
