It's not likely to see the light of day.

Famous singer Nigel Cochrane moves into A wonderful small Village House, The Grange, he befriends local music teacher Belinda, much to her father's disapproval.

It isn't a sitcom that I had ever heard of, and asking about, it's not one that many people seem to remember, after watching it, I'm sad to say, I can understand why.

It's not good, in all honesty it's pretty bad, considering that Marks and Gran wrote Birds of a Feather, this is so incredibly stuffy and high brow, for a comedy, it lacks the one vital, essential component, laughs.

The acting isn't marvellous, it feels a little wooden at times, personally I feel it's elevated a little at the end by Emlyn Price. I would just like to say, that the final episode is a joy to watch, a pity the rest of the show isn't the same quality.

Were there plans for it to continue, or was it axed? Sadly there is so little information out there, I can't see this ever getting a commercial release.

It's not good, 4/10.

Pretty poor

I saw this in 1985 and it wasn't good then. Having re-watched a few episodes on YT, time certainly hasn't been kind to it. On paper, with its cast and writing team, it should have worked. Instead, it feels like a poorly conceived attempt to rehash To the Manor Born for a less discerning audience whilst avoiding the BBC's wrath.
