Storyline

Long ago, there was a thriving civilization of small humanoid bears called Gummi Bears. Possessing powerful magic and advanced technology, this race coexisted with humans until the growing rivalry forced the Gummies to flee across the sea, leaving only a small caretaker colony to prepare for a possible return. However, generations passed and the colony forgot their purpose even as human knowledge of the race faded into mere legend. All that changes when the colony meets a boy with a Gummi Bear medallion which unlocks the Great Book of Gummi which reveals lost knowledge of their past. Now the colony has dedicated themselves to the new goal to rediscover their heritage with the help of a few trusted humans while preventing new enemies like Duke Igthorn from exploiting that heritage to their own ends. A truly entertaining cartoon that will be missed
16 August 2003 | by (USA) – See all my reviews

Gummi Bears is a classic Disney show that I think has surpassed so many of todays modern television shows. It was full of wonderful characters (mine being Cubbi) that many can enjoy no matter what age group they fall in. The story lines are those that all ages can follow and be sure to smile/laugh along with. It brings back so many wonderful memories for me from when I was very small. I wish this show would've continued to go through syndication, but Disney recently pulled the plug on them from Toon Disney. However, the episodes I remember still have me singing...Dashing and daring, courageous and caring, faithful and friendly with stories to share...Gummi Bears, Bouncing here and there, and everywhere!!!
