It looks like Betty White has found a new pal (and a confidante) in Gabi Diamond.

RelatedYoung & Hungry Exclusive: Meet Sofia’s New (Yet Very Familiar) Man

The TV legend (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls, Hot in Cleveland, etc.) makes a very special — and wonderfully weird — appearance in Monday’s belated Valentine’s Day episode of Young & Hungry (Freeform, 8/7c). But this time around, White is much more of a Blanche than a Rose, recalling the love-making skills of her many ex-husbands… including one who reminds her of the limp carrot Gabi is using to cook dinner. »

IndieWire Stands With Women: 27 TV Shows Created by Women, Starring Women, That We Absolutely Love

8 March 2017 7:43 AM, PST | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Today is not only International Women’s Day, but a day when many are choosing to strike for A Day Without Women, an economic protest to remind the nation just how important women’s contributions to society are. And as part of that, IndieWire has assembled a powerful list of shows, all currently streaming online, that would not exist without the brilliant female creators at their center. This is the great TV that happens when women show up. Don’t take it for granted.

“30 Rock” (NBC, Netflix)

Did we fully appreciate the gift we had in Tina Fey’s absurdist take on life behind the scenes of a sketch comedy show, while it was on the air? Maybe not, but here’s what matters: “30 Rock” was one of the most original, bizarre, hilarious and unapologetically female shows of its time, and it holds up damn well.

You may or may not recall that last year there was a report that a Golden Girls-Themed cafe would be opening in New York.  It’s name was to be the Rue La Rue cafe and it was to be based off of the 80s hit show The Golden Girls.  The cafe was to feature numerous items from the estate of co-star Rue McClanahan. Now, the cafe—owned and operated by the late actress’ friend, Michael Larue—is finally ready to open, allowing the world to bask in all its Blanche-and-Dorothy glory. Technically the cafe is still in a testing period but we’re

Betty White's Reason For Never Remarrying After Her Husband's Death Is Truly Beautiful

19 January 2017 10:51 AM, PST | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Betty White has fit a whole lot of life into her 95 years, and she's still going strong. The star is a Hollywood icon, with roles in The Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show among her most popular. But of all her successes, the actress credits her marriage to Allen Ludden as her favorite. Betty, who was previously married to Us Army pilot Dick Barker in 1945 and Hollywood agent Lane Allen from 1947 until 1949, met her third husband when she appeared as a guest on his game show, Password, in 1961. Ludden actually proposed to Betty twice before she finally accepted and the two were married in 1963. Ludden tragically passed away from stomach cancer in 1981 (Betty was 59 years old at the time), and she has never remarried. When asked if she would ever consider tying the knot again during an interview with Larry King, Betty said, "Once you've had the best, »

It’s Betty White’s 95th birthday today, so let’s celebrate by jumping into the pit with her. Back in 2010, White hosted “Saturday Night Live” on Mothers’ Day weekend to rave reviews. White thanked Andy Samberg and company for their sweet rendition…but noted that she preferred her version. With that, White slipped on a ski mask and ripped into a death-metal cover »

Like many of her fans, Betty White "can't believe" she's celebrating her 95th birthday.

"I keep thinking, 'Betty, you’re 95 years old,'" she told Yahoo's Katie Couric in an interview posted on Tuesday. "I’m so blessed with good health and faculties and I’ve got memories and all that. You can’t really expect that at 95."

White quipped, "I am the luckiest old broad on two feet!"

The Emmy-winning actress offered up advice for living a fulfilled life, telling Couric, "Keep busy and don't focus everything on you."

As for what she would tell her 25-year-old self, White didn't have any specific wisdom to impart. "I've been married three times and I probably still would've been married three times," she said. White married and divorced Dick Barker and Lane Allen in the 1940s, before marrying Allen Ludden in 1963. They were together for 18 years until his death in 1981.

Hulu Content Chief Talks ‘Golden Girls,’ Curation Challenges and Live TV

7 January 2017 10:40 AM, PST | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Hulu’s content chief came to the Television Critics Association press tour on Saturday to talk up a 2017 slate featuring ambitious originals including “The Handmaid’s Tale,” season two of “The Path” and the 9/11-themed “The Looming Tower.”

But Craig Erwich had another big score to announce to the crowd in Pasadena, Calif., namely that Hulu has nabbed exclusive streaming rights to all 177 episodes of “The Golden Girls.”

The emphasis on new and old during his brief presentation reflects the juggling act of programming a streaming service that has to have something for everyone in order to retain its paid subscribers. Moreover, the Hulu team is also readying for the service’s evolution to a provider of a cable-like package of TV channels — an iteration that promises to help them even better understand what subscribers are looking for on the programming menu at any given time.
