Lovitz in line for unscripted CBS series

6 May 2005 | The Hollywood Reporter | See recent The Hollywood Reporter news »

CBS is developing a primetime unscripted series to be hosted by Saturday Night Live alumnus Jon Lovitz. The eye network has ordered a presentation of the untitled project, which will shoot this month in Las Vegas. The project is being produced by David Franske and Wayne Rice, through Pottle Prods. The series would incorporate elements of the game-show and hidden-camera genres in which Lovitz would set up unsuspecting guests in outrageous situations. One proposed segment would team a contestant with a pro golfer who would offer strange advice with a little help from Lovitz. Lovitz last was seen on CBS in a recurring role on the short-lived 1985-86 sitcom Foley Square. »
