Storyline

Bob McGraw is in his 12th year of college, goofing his way through life. Bob the slacker, Irwin the alcoholic geek, Gonzer the human food disposal and Max the ne'er do well are the four losers forced and bribed to represent their university in an intercollegiate raft race., They make some friends like the lovely Heather Merriweather, but mostly enemies, among others a whole team of marines, and preppy IVY-leaguers determined to win. Trivia

Tim Matheson would later appear as the father of Van Wilder (2002) another college-themed comedy where the title character is similar to his character in this film, by having intentionally stayed in college for more than the normal four years. That film was also produced by National Lampoon, which produced Animal House (1978) and also co-starring Matheson. See more »

Quotes

Bob McGraw: Wanna fool around? Wanna get married? Want fellatio or what? If I'm being too forward, just tell me to back off.

Up the Creek
31 May 1999 | by (Marietta, OH) – See all my reviews

Sophomoric humor taken to the limit by Animal House alums Matheson and Furst as college misfits on a white water rafting race in the hope of bringing glory to their mediocre university. Slapstick gags, goofy all around...but good fun.
