TWO IN BLACK BELT is an odd little action film made as a collaboration between Hong Kong and Indonesia. What this means is that the heroes are all Chinese while the bad guys are dark-skinned. The film starts off on a predictable revenge-film note with the hero's family being attacked; his mother is murdered and his sister raped, so he goes off to seek revenge with the aid of a cop buddy. Instead of action, most of the running time is centred around a brothel in which young and innocent women are promised modelling work before being forced into prostitution. It's all quite distasteful, a lack of familiar faces hurts the thing, and the stock, tacked-on action bits barely raise the interest.
