As a child growing up in the 50s, there were very few female SuperHeroes. For some reason the comic publishers thought Girls were only interested in "True Romance" or "Archie" comic books. The only females I can remember were in "Legion of Super-Heroes" and finally Supergirl. The stories weren't great in the books but enjoyable anyway. Finally after all the Super-Hero Movies they brought out Supergirl. The plot is well put together and most of the questions answered. (It would have been nice if Superman had showed up for a bit part. In the comic books, He gave Kara the name Linda Danvers and set her up with a foster family. (They didn't know about her super-powers.) I agree that they should make another Movie or two. (How come all we get is Superboy series on TV?) I would go out of my way to watch it, but NOT a cartoon version. I HATE these new stylized cartoon. This Movie is definitely a keeper in my collection.
