Goofs:
Continuity: Cindy is wearing straplike sandals that secure around the ankle during the fight scene between her and Brenda in Mr. Meeker's science class. When the fight breaks out, both girls are on the ground for no more than 30 seconds, and when Cindy gets up without her top and runs to the door, she is seen without shoes, and that particular style could not likely have fallen off or be easily removed during the fight.See more »

another okay Blair revenge tale, 21 November 2012
Author: PeterMitchell-506-564364 from Australia

I remember seeing this film's poster in late '84 ,with Linda Blair in a hot outfit, big breasted, holding a spear gun. A few months prior to that, I had seen Linda in that camp classic, Chained Heat, the first movie I ever saw her in. Savage Streets had disappeared off the map, and I thought to myself, what the hell happened to it. In January of '87 I was pleasantly surprised to see it had popped up in the video shop. To be honest, I did expect a little more from it. Linda here, looks too old to still be in high school. She and her girls clash with these four thugs, repellant types, one being Johnny Venocular or Johnny V, that jack***e from that reality show a couple years back, "Scott Baio, 45 and still single". They're also dope dealers. Jake (Robert Dryer) and his boys are cruisin'. Brenda (Blair) and her girls are cruisin'. Brenda's deaf sister is nearly struck down by Jake, who asks her out. Of course she makes one of those vommit sounds with her throat, forefinger pointed in her mouth. Later that same night Brenda and her girls trash Jake's car, thus the catalyst in this revenge tale, that sees her deaf sister get raped. The boys keep pushing it, like in the bar, at a more intense part of the film, as Jake tries to get fresh with Brenda's soon to be married friend, who's later thrown off a bridge. Thus this brings the third act to an intense and merciless climax which I loved, where Linda exacts her own brand of justice with her spear gun, the classic of classic lines attached to it. Brenda's pardon in the court is great. Her last line in the movie is a cliché of other lines from other Blair movies. I also love the catfight Brenda has with another female student, who's angered as her old man (a Richard Gere type) is making passes at her, as are other guys, including the school principal (John Vernon) who's teamed up with Blair in a few other films. Brenda ends up ripping the girl's shirt free, so we see her goodies, with the girl, running off, humiliated. The four thugs turn in ultra nasty performances, characters who are real dregs. I particularly love watching Johnny V act. What a wild guy. He's hilarious in that movie, Hourglass. There's good performances by all, plus a close up shot of Blair sitting in a bath, contemplating her plan of action. In the end credits, try and count the number of John Farnham songs. Then may'be call him and ask him what he thought of the movie. Not bad action fare. What I hated about the movie that relies a bit on the Farnham music in the "early getting to know you characters stage" is the first scene that's used again later in the movie. Personally, this should of never been used at the start. At least we have one human amidst our four baddies, the laughing stock of the group. Of course, I'm talking about Venocular who deserts the guys after they go too far.
