Artemio is a farmer and he lives in a house with his mother, in the country. Maria Rosa lives in the village nearby and she is the only girl he ever saw. Unfortunately she very ugly and she wants to marry him. Artemio decides to leave everything and to go to Milan looking for something better. In the city he meets Angela and falls for her. But Milan and Angela are too much for a simple farmer. Written by Baldinotto da Pistoia
A great Renato Pozzetto, in a not very high level movie. Some passages are unforgettable for the wonderful performance of this peculiar actor, that is in possession of a rather surrealistic sort of humourism. The plot is rather silly but it's interesting the "Comparison" between the quiet (even if intense) agricultural civilization and the metropolitan one (represented by Milan) too frenetic and little humanitarian. (Sorry for my English)
