Storyline

Nine erotic vignettes about the nightlife in Manhattan and the rich, famous and streetwise, who all seek sex, fantasy and comfort there together. All stories are superficially connected. Two people have sex in one story, then the next story follows one of these two people and his or her next sexual adventure with a new person. Then the third story follows this third person and his or her next tryst and so on. The stories are "The Debutante and the Rock Star" (a rich girl in a limo picks up a rock star, but things don't go quite as he planned), "The Rock Star and the Authoress" (the rock star hooks up with a female writer, who wants to write about him, but things again don't go quite as he expected), "The Authoress and the Photographer" (the female writer meets a photographer at a party, who takes her to his set where he photographs two women in underwear wrestling, which turns her on), "The Photographer and the Model" (the photographer is seduced by his beautiful former model and on ...

Trivia

Loosely based on "La Ronde" (a.k.a. Reigen), a famous turn of the 20th century play by Austrian playwright Arthur Schnitzler. The play scrutinizes the sexual morals and class ideology of its day through a series of encounters between pairs of characters (shown before or after a sexual encounter). By choosing characters across all levels of society, the play offers social commentary on how sexual contact transgresses boundaries of class. The movie is more exploitative but does keeps the basic idea behind the play. See more »

Sexy scenes.
13 May 2009 | by (Mexico) – See all my reviews

The movie, when originally was showed in cinema, in 1984, was the best in its style. The last scene, maybe the best of the movie, is with Corinne Alphen dancing using lingerie (a transparent robe) on her naked body, following the rhythm of the Rod Stewart's song "Passion". The best two sexy scenes of the movie are with Corinne Alphen, but one of them, the first one, when Corinne is in the limo with the rock star, in the DVD, is cut. The DVD is a pirate copy, it was made from a VHS. The image in the DVD is very poor. I hope this movie will be released soon in DVD using the master film, and digitally restored. This movie is available only in the pirate copy mentioned before: New Star Video, 2006, full screen. The company lies when write "Digitally remastered" or "Full length feature film", because, at least, one of the best scenes is cut, incomplete.
