Cinema Epoch Acquires New Titles For Digital Release

Douglas Dunning, Cinema Epoch’s Director of Acquisitions, has just announced that the company has obtained the rights to release four films from XPosse Productions for worldwide distribution on DVD and on all digital platforms. Scary Tales is among the titles scheduled for release. Here is a brief trailer for the film.

Mr. Dunning is currently also appearing opposite actor George Lazenby, who is best known for playing James Bond in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969), in the recently completed film Hunter, which was directed by Gregory Hatanaka, who is also the president of Cinema Epoch. Mr. Lazenby plays General Bullmont in the film. Also starring is actress Laurene Landon who has starred in the Peter Falk film All the Marbles (1981), I, the Jury (1982), Hundra (1983) and Yellow Hair and the Fortress of Gold (1984).

It’s Tuesday, so it must mean it’s time for Fright At Home! Scream and Shout! Factory pretty much own the week with a whopping four releases, including ’80s cult fave Night Of The Comet, John Carpenter’s action classic Assault On Precinct 13, killer robot-run-amok Eve Of Destruction, and ’90s comic book adaptation Tank Girl.

The wonderful loonies over at Blue Underground have updated their list of theatrical engagements for the re-release of Maniac Cop 2 so check it out to see if you'll be one of the lucky ones who'll witness the massacre on the big screen!

Work has been done on a new 4K HD transfer of Maniac Cop 2 for an upcoming Blu-ray release, courtesy of Blue Underground. Maniac Cop 2 and 3 are Coming to Blu-ray

We’ve known that Blue Underground has been working on bringing the Maniac Cop sequels to Blu-ray, but now we have an official release date, cover art, and details on extras.Both movies will be available on November 19th in separate Blu-ray/DVD combo packs. Each movie has been digitally remastered, optimized for D-Box systems, and comes with a number of bonus features:

Maniac Cop 2: The “Maniac Cop” is back from the dead and stalking the streets of New York once more. Douglas Dunning, actor, producer, film authority, radio show host of “How Do You View” and director of acquisitions at Cinema Epoch, has acquired the rights to the following titles for release on DVD:

Hundra”, the 1984 Laurene Landon vehicle

“How Do You View” is the name of a new Internet radio show hosted by Dunning. The show can be heard daily at 1:00 am, 5:30 am, 11:00 am & 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time (that’s 4:00 am, 8:30 am, 2:00 pm, and 8:00 pm to us on the Eastern Seaboard). It can be heard on the Prodigy Media Network. This week, Mr. Dunning interviews director Richard Rush (pictured), best known for 1980’s The Stunt Man.
