A couple talks about the woman doing a photo shoot in the nude. The photo shoot itself however does not have any real nudity as she wears a fur lining which covers from her breasts to her upper thighs. A woman takes a shower, but you do not see anything below her shoulders. A couple lies in bed, sheets cover all but their shoulders. It is presumed they have had sex.

Most of the killings in the movie occur off screen.

-A monster's head contorts and stretches, a woman chops the head off with a sword. Green blood pours from the stump. We see the severed head on the ground, which tries to bite her ankles but she kicks it away.

-In two scenes we see the aftermath of attacks from the monsters. We see a couple of dismembered corpses including some severed heads, arms, torsos, and legs. There is blood and entrails.

-A woman sticks a coat hanger into a clogged drain, blood sprays up out of the drain and splatters all over the shower and the woman's face.

-A man begins turning into a monster and attacks another man. He is shot and falls to the ground. The man approaches the body and it jumps to attack him again. He shots it again and this time it dies.

-A monster breaks through a door where a few minutes earlier a small child had been playing. We don't see what happens, but it is presumed that the child and his mother are killed as later the same monster can be seen climbing the stairs to attack a woman on the next floor.

-A woman and her dog are pulled into a manhole by a monster and several other man are grabbed and pulled out of sight (around a corner, down a pipe, etc).

-A man is pulled out of a phone booth by a monster. His granddaughter is in the phone booth. We later see her at the police station and learn that she witnessed the murder.

-We see a dead and bloated dog hanging from a ceiling.

-We see a bloody wound where a man has been bitten by one of the monsters in the leg. There is blood, muscle and bone visible. We later see black and white photographs of the wound.

-A woman's severed head is found

-A man begins to climb a ladder. We hear a thud and he falls down the ladder and dies. It is unclear how he died, but it is implied he was bludgeoned by a man at the top of the ladder.

-A man is shot and later dies

-A man drives a van and tries to kill two men and a woman. One of the men shoots the man through the van window, the vans tire rolls into a manhole and the van explodes.

-Two cops (one played by a cameo appearance of John Goodman) and a waitress are sitting in a diner when several monsters attack the diner and break the windows. We hear screams. Later we see police and news reporters in front of the dinner. There is lots of blood everywhere. We see the diner several times throughout the last 15 minutes of the film.

Relatively mild for an R film. Mostly PG-13 language, except for about 11 F-words.

A man rolls and smokes a cigarette. Three cops sit at a bar. A vagrant is seen sitting in the streets with a bottle of something alcoholic.

The CHUD monsters have glowing eyes, sharp teeth, and long claws. They could be frightening for younger viewers. There are a couple of mild jump scares. A woman is attacked in her apartment, this scene is fairly intense It is implied a little boy has been killed by a monster. Not seen, but could be disturbing to some viewers.
