According to the director, the film was shot in two weeks, and heavily improvised, without a script. O'Keeffe was contracted to star in a certain number of films for D'Amato by a certain date, leaving no time to write a script.

The movie's rushed production schedule was largely due in part to director Joe D'Amato wanting to cash in on the popularity of "Conan the Destroyer." D'Amato had previously filmed the first Ator movie in response to the success of the first Conan film, "Conan the Barbarian."
