Baazi has it all, 28 November 2007
7/10

Bollywood can be categorized as the formula industry meaning if mass like one story and make it hit you will see almost dozens film with same plot and theme. This happens even in Hollywood so the year 80-90 was time of action movies for bollywood; we seen movies like 'Boxer', 'Baazi' 'Karz', 'Namak Halal'...on same year.

Talking about Baazi its a friendship, sacrifice, revenger, romantic, action all formula movie. Dependable Dharmendra did a good job like small guy from village Mithun. A scene where Mithun sits for Namaaz in between action sequence and villain is trying to cut him into pieces and Dharmendra tries to protect him when he (Mithun) lifts his hand to pray and see Dharmedra's blood is done well. Mithun is shown very religious in this movie. The chemistry between Rekha and Dharmedra is good and also between Mithun and Ranjeeta; Ranjeeta owns a small hotel in the village where Mithun also come and their screen chemistry is portrayed very well. Dharmedra loose his family when Shakti kapoor gang kills his wife Rekha and wants to take revenge and with the help of Mithun he nails the killers; half time of the movie revolves around the Dharmedra revenge. The action scenes are good as usual for a Raj N Sippy movies and the story line is not that rare but the way it is done is good to watch. Music is overall good and a song between Rekha and Dharmedra is quite memorable. This movie also shows the Hindu-Muslim friendship and how one is ready to sacrifice his life for other.

All I can say is quite good movie to watch at least once. I will rate it 7 out 10 overall.
