- In Break Van, a character known as the Spiteful Brakevan is crushed to pieces. His face when lifted out shows him with a black eye.
- In "Toad Stands By" a character known as S.C.Ruffey is pulled apart, but is later put back together.
- Characters known as Troublesome Trucks are known to break apart after causing certain accidents like crashing. No blood or gore is shown however as this is a children's program.
- In Buzz Buzz, James gets stung by an angry bee in the nose, which turns swollen red. May be intense for some children.
- The engines usually crash on other engines or trucks. This sometimes happen either on purpose or on accident.
- Characters/trains can be careless/impulsive often at times.
- Some trains crash into one another with blunt force.
- Accidents such as crashing scenes or derailing scenes are shown. As a children's program, no blood or gore is shown, but sometimes, the engine will be in need of repair after their accident.

- There are some tense moments, but mainly this show is light-hearted/easygoing.
- Sir Topham Hat traps Henry in a tunnel by building a brick wall in season 1 episode 3.
