User Reviews

Fantastic satire show.
16 March 2004 | by (Scotland) – See all my reviews

'Spiiting Image' is by far one of the best satire shows ever made. Hilarious all round entertainment which spoofs news events using rubber puppets. Classic sequences included ones involving the Pope, Maggie Thatcher and the Royal Family. Throughout its years the show provided hilarity and great humour and as a result is one of the finest shows ever to come out of Britain. It was a pity this got axed as I'm sure it could have been even funnier now. But ITV have brought in '2DTV' which uses cartoons instead of puppets and it is just as good. But 'Spitting Image' is an absolute classic. I'm sure most would agree that it is British humour at its very best.
