I remember watching “Shaka Zulu” when I was a wee bit lad and really enjoyed it. Then again, I’m a sucker for war epics. I thought we might be getting something similar to that when I heard Orlando Bloom and Djimon Honsou were going to star in a new movie called “Zulu”. Turns out, not so much. But hey, maybe this “Zulu” won’t be so bad, either. “Zulu” has signed up Bloom and Honsou as “two Cape Town police officers who investigate the murder of a 18 year-old girl, the daughter of a member of the championship winning Springboks rugby team. The investigation reveals ties to the country’s apartheid past in the simmering thriller.” French director Jerome Salle, who helmed the thriller “Anthony Zimmer” (which was remade as “The Tourist” with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp), will direct the film from the novel “Zulu” by Caryl Férey.
