The Story of Fergie's Dramatic Comeback After Hitting Rock Bottom

The Story of Fergie's Dramatic Comeback After Hitting Rock Bottom
Stacy on Kids Incorporated was the coolest. The bubbly 10-year-old singer with the killer '80s wardrobe, perfectly spritzed bangs and booming voice that belied her age was a Disney Channel princess long before Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera got their big breaks on the Mickey Mouse Club.  And in 1989, after she left the show... Hmm. We all went back to our similarly young lives. Some fans accompanied the singer whose full name was Stacy Ann Ferguson on her journey with Wild Orchid, a tame '90s girl group that also featured Kids Incorporated's Renee Sandstrom and was at one point managed by the mother of Ki alum and "Toy...

Fergie Says Her Romance With Justin Timberlake "Wasn't All That Serious"

Fergie Says Her Romance With Justin Timberlake
Fergie spilled all of the tea about her past romances when she stopped by Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday night, including the fling she had with none other than Justin Timberlake. In a game of Plead the Fifth with host Andy Cohen, the singer was asked about the best and worst parts of dating Jt back in the '90s. Her response was genuine (and, to be honest, slightly panicky): "It wasn't all that serious. Am I allowed to pass on this? Pass. Plead the fifth." The mom of son Axl, who recently split from husband Josh Duhamel, had a short-lived relationship with Justin around 1996 when he was 16 and she was 23. Fergie spoke to Cosmopolitan in 2006 about it, saying, "One of my good friends was dating J.C. Chasez, and so we'd all hang out with *Nsync. Justin and I would go out together and have fun and make out.

Event Report: Flashback Weekend 2015

Today (8/8/15) I attended my second Flashback Weekend in Rosemont, Illinois. As a lifelong horror fan, I wasn’t aware that convention culture existed in the midwest until the last couple years. Last year I attended my first convention c2e2 in Chicago, primarily to meet Tony Todd as Candyman is still one of the scariest movies in my opinion. Later that summer I decided to attend Flashback Weekend as they had several cast members from many of the Freddy Krueger movies attending and purchased a $125 group photo op. There were a couple other actors and actresses I wanted to meet and thought bringing $100 would more than cover it. There’s no way to look online to discover how much a celebrity is going to charge for autographs and photos as their prices vary by event and how popular one might be. That $100 didn’t go very far as I learned

Watch SNL’s Cut Nickelodeon Sketch

Watch SNL’s Cut Nickelodeon Sketch
This weekend's Saturday Night Live, with host Anna Kendrick, included two full-on Disney sketches, but somehow this Nickelodeon sketch got cut after the dress rehearsal. Behold "Zap!" a 1994 series where "bright colors meet the phrase 'oh, yeah!'" If we're going to be sticklers, "Zap!" looks more like Kids Incorporated or The New Mickey Mouse Club than any Nick shows from the mid-'90s, except for maybe All That — which makes Kenan Thompson's performance here that much more relevant. Anyway, grab your sombreros.

Oscars 2014: Just Keep Livin', If You Call This Livin'
The big winners at last night's 16-hour Oscar ceremony: Dreams. Inspiration. Heroes. So live the impossible, because that’s what Jared Leto's mom would want. Just keep livin', because no matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid and your magic is real. Hey, movie stars, we get it — nobody’s against dreams, right? We are all, as Fred Durst would put it, in agreeance here? But like Matthew McConaughey says, "We all need somebody to look up to, somebody to look down on, somebody to chase, somebody to love,

Watch the Kids Incorporated New Year’s Special

Watch the Kids Incorporated New Year’s Special
The Mickey Mouse Club of the late eighties and early nineties gave us Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, Christina Aguilera, and Keri Russell, among others. The show is looked back on … if not fondly then at least occasionally. But that show was not the only game in town! The Disney Channel started out with Kids Incorporated, an early role for Fergie, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Mario Lopez, among other children forced to wear the garish clothing that was customary at the time. Kids Incorporated, with its singing and dancing and constant crises, brought us this truly horrendous special New Year's episode, "Rock in the New Year." It is even more grating than you could possibly remember. Sorry, 1986.

Pregnant Fergie Petitions to Legally Change Her Last and First Name

Pregnant Fergie Petitions to Legally Change Her Last and First Name
If she hadn't before, Fergie is really looking to put her Kids Incorporated days behind her now. The pregnant pop star has filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court to legally change her name from Stacy Ann Ferguson to Fergie Duhamel, the surname of course belonging to her husband of four years, Josh Duhamel. And Fergie is, after all, "the first name which she is commonly and professionally known as, and has been for many years," the petition states. A hearing on her request is scheduled for Aug. 16. Mrs. Duhamel was spotted over the weekend grabbing a fresh-squeezed juice with her mom at L.A.'s Beverly Center. The Black Eyed Pea has been a reliably stylish presence on...

Fergie changing name: Black Eyed Peas singer to take Josh Duhamel's name

  • Pop2it
Fergie is changing her name. The Black Eyed Peas singer has filed legal papers requesting to change both her first and last names. If the court grants her request, she will soon legally be named Fergie Duhamel.

Born Stacy Ann Ferguson, the name change is meant to reflect the names by which the singer is known by now. Fergie's lawyer told TMZ that his client wanted her name to "conform to the first name which she is commonly and professionally known as, and has been for many years."

This makes sense, considering that the singer hasn't gone by "Stacy" professionally since her "Kids Incorporated" days. Plus, she has been married to actor Josh Duhamel for more than four years.

Fergie will be required to publish a notice in a local paper for four consecutive weeks and will then find out the fate of her name during a Aug. 16 hearing.

Jennifer Love Hewitt X Factor Hopeful?

Is Jennifer Love Hewitt an X Factor hopeful? Not as a contender, silly, but as a judge? We have the details on this hot topic for discussion.

“Simon is very interested,” a source told Us Weekly. And who wouldn’t be interested on having Hewitt just being herself on a regular basis? I think she’s a darling. She definitely knows the media industry.

The 34-year-old former Ghost Whisperer and current star of the Client List is also a former pop star, dontcha know. Her song “BareNaked” hit the charts back in 2002. Of course, Simon would never put all his eggs into one basket. He is also said to be considering Reba McEntire and Kelly Rowland, who last judged 2011′s U.K. X Factor. Reba is a very big name and I dare say even better loved by the masses than Hewitt. But what is the country singer’s schedule like?

Jennifer Love Hewitt or Reba McEntire as an 'X Factor' judge? How do we feel about that?

There is a report out of Us Weekly that Simon Cowell is eying actress Jennifer Love Hewitt as a replacement for Britney Spears on his "X Factor" panel, alongside Cowell himself and singer Demi Lovato.

"Simon is very interested," says the source, who also names Reba McEntire and Kelly Rowland as being in the running.

A rep for "The X Factor" says this is all "pure speculation," but a friend of Rowland's says that Kelly is "nearly a done deal."

So, how do we feel about these possibilities? Rowland at least has some experience. She previously judged the U.K. version of the singing competition show. But does she have the personality?

Hewitt and McEntire have not been judges or mentors on anything like "X Factor," but both have musical backgrounds. McEntire's is obvious -- she's a two-time Grammy winner with 10 other noms under her belt for the music award.

The 10 Oddest Real-Life Hollywood Couples Ever

Hollywood can be a big, weird, lonely place. Sometimes, for better or worse, that's going to make you want to get with Cher. And as Woody Allen once said, in defending his controversial relationship with his adopted daughter, the heart wants what the heart wants.

It's not for us to judge.

Just kidding! Of course it is. Here are 10 of the most bizarre Hollywood couples ever, past and present.

Tom Cruise and Cher

Tom Cruise and Cher got together in the mid-1980s, and while we weren't there at the time or anything, it certainly feels like it was more of a "Hey, you're internationally famous? Crazy, I'm internationally famous too! Let's bone!" type of relationship than one based on love. Depressingly for all of us, somewhere in an alternate universe, their firstborn is debuting his/her/its bestselling tell-all book, "Cher-ry Maguire: My Life with Tom and Cher" right now on Dr. Phil.

Todd the Ugliest Kid On Earth; Todd Solondz For the Comic Book Crowd

Todd the Ugliest Kid on Earth #1

Written by Ken Kristensen

Art and Cover by M.K. Perker and Colorist Cemal Soyleyen

Published by Image Comics

When a comic is prefaced with a special thanks to Todd Solondz (director of Welcome to the Dollhouse and Happiness), it’s safe to assume you’re in for a work of thorny humor. Angsty eccentricity is the sap of the suburban comedy, but writer Ken Kristensen and artist M.K. Perker’s Todd the Ugliest Kid on Earth trades in angst for innocence in what is surely the boldest, most controversial book released so far this year.

Issue one of this new mini-series sets up a colorful ensemble of complicated characters who each represent a different mindset of suburban America. Todd is the upbeat optimist, a kid so ugly he wears a bag over his head, but you know he’s always smiling regardless.
