"Hey Dad..!" shared a studio with Australian drama series Home and Away (1988). At midnight early Saturday, the Home and Away set would be dismantled, the crew working all night to install the Hey Dad..! set. Following the Hey Dad..! tapings late Saturday, the Hey Dad..! set would be taken down, and the Home and Away set re-installed. This was a regular occurrence for the duration of the series. Hey Dad would have to be the worst TV show in the Universe. I am still trying to figure out why it ran for some long. Put it this way, I've laughed more in just one episode of Different Strokes than I have in the entire series of Hey Dad.
