Storyline

Another series from Aaron Spelling that has many guest stars each week that follows the formula used in other Spelling series, like LOVE BOAT and HOTEL. The setting for this series, is GLITTER, a magazine. Every week two pairs of reporters are sent to get the dirt on a story they hear of. Seen most often are Sam Dillon and Kate Simpson, and seen on an alternating basis are Pete Bozak and Jennifer Douglas, and Terry Randolph and Earl Tobin. Also thrown into the mix are Angels and Chip who are magazine's receptionist and copy boy respectively, who are also dating. And there's also Clive, the magazine's photographer, and Shelley, the magazine's lonely gossip columnist. And rounding the cast is Arthur Hardwick, the magazine's publisher, and not known to many, Kate's father. Written by <rcs0411@yahoo.com>

"Glitter"
8 January 2002 | by See all my reviews

Another Spelling creation about a magazine called "Glitter". Like most Spelling shows it was full of drama! Not one of his better ones but worth watching. The best way to describe Glitter is Ally McBeal meets Melrose. I can see where the idea was good once it was pitched but the writing ran dry. A quick look at Glitter is this company that distributes a popular magazine (Glitter) has its up & downs with relationship problems coming at you left & right. If Spelling would have taken the show in several different directions with many stories at once, it would have been a hit. Everyone on the show seem to have the same problems though. 1-10 (5)
