But it didn't.
I remember this thing.
An arrangement of actors who had made names and positions for themselves on other shows (Macnee on the Avengers, Winter on MASH, Dugan on Hill Street Blues) and the outstanding lovely ladies from other shows as well, Caren Kaye, Christine Belford.
It should have worked. I think the show wanted to rely too much on the names and shows the Avengers, Hill Street Blues and MASH, instead of trying to give these people something else to do.
They started out unscrupulous enough. All of them seemed to be, save for Dugan, who was supposed to be the Gary Sandy on WKRP in Cincinnati of the bunch.
I think the first time we see Winter (Col. Flagg from MASH) he and his secretary are shredding lots and lots of documents.
It was funny.
Either it just wasn't the right time for such a show or the show itself didn't get a good timeslot (happens all the time) or the network didn't commit to the show as they should have (happens all the time).
It would be fun to see again.
I think it would be a very strong eighties staple.
