It seems that the town where the thief is in now, if filled with corrupt officials who arrest the man and made sure that the thief won't be extradited. So they have to save the man and try and get the thief out of the town so he can be arrested.
Dawson, a former agency operative turned author calls Henry cause he's in trouble. So Henry arranges for Jack Striker to meet him. She was last seen on board the yacht of Martin Dunbar, but when they try to check him out they discover that he only came into existence a few years ago. Later they're being followed by a man whom they learn is a U.S. Marshall. After speaking to him Henry tells them to back off. But they continue to dig.
A woman on vacation comes across a briefcase filled with money. Henry thinks that the money is payment for an assassin knows as The Lion. Henry has Dani and Jack keep an eye on an obnoxious American comedian who has been traveling to Eastern Bloc countries. He is now in Czechkoslovakia. Jack follows him and he meets someone, a young girl who gives him something. And just as she's going to leave with him, she is taken. He refuses to say what is going on.
Three people steal a fortune in Denver a few years ago. They are now in Paris waiting for the statute of limitations to run out. So Henry sends Dani and Jack to Paris to find the money or enough evidence so they can be arrested before the statute ends in three days.
