Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Some brief full frontal female nudity, near the beginning.

Sexuality and some sex scenes, which involves brief nudity, (buttocks and breasts) and characters having simulated sex.

Bare breasts exposed, during a whipping fight, between 2 women.

SPOILERS:

Several characters are shot with pistols, sometimes fatally, and a simulated hanging is shown in some detail.

During the opening scene,a decomposing body is shown hanging from a gibbet, with a bird pecking at it.

An old man is suffocated with a pillow.

There is a lengthy scene, in which two women fight each other with punching, hair-pulling and whipping each other with coachman's whips. There are some bloody wounds visible, due to the whip lacerations and some scenes of bare breasts, with whip welts.

Moderate, very infrequent use.

Nothing out of context, with the era depicted. Some mild scenes of wine and ale drinking.

The film is played out as a mix of drama and a sex romp. There are some intense scenes involving treachery and betrayal, by some of the major characters and the scenes of violence are quite realistic.

Due to the adult themes, sexuality and some strong violence, (the whipping fight, involving bare breasts, borders on exploitation and sexualised violence), this film wouldn't be suitable for persons under 15/16years of age.
