When Emma and her children visit Aurora after Emma leaves Flap, there are cars on either side of the street. A few seconds later, the cars are gone and the street is empty. Another few seconds later, the cars are back.
When Aurora's skirt changes between shots after she comes back from the hospital visiting Emma. As she walks up to the hotel desk, she has one skirt on, but when she walks through the lobby into the pool area, where Tommy and Teddy threaten to get her wet, she has a different skirt on.
When Emma and Patsy are speaking to each other in the hospital and Patsy is applying make-up to Emma's eye, a close-up shows Emma is wearing a lot of concealer under the right eye. Then another close-up and the make up is gone.
After Patsy applies make-up to Emma in the hospital, Emma hugs and kisses her before she leaves to get the boys and there is a noticeable lipstick mark on Patsy's right cheek. In the next shot it is gone.
As the young Horton family crosses the Texas border driving to Iowa, there is merely a plain road sign, located amidst open flat fields of waiving grain, indicating that they are leaving Texas. Any highway trek from Texas to Iowa would find a roadway dip into the distinctive basin of the Red River and would require crossing the river over a substantial bridge joining Texas and Oklahoma.
When Emma is standing outside the restaurant in front of the Statue of Liberty, the area behind her is obviously a set, as the city background is very distorted from what a background in the city would really look like.
