Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Suggested MPAA rating: R for strong brutal violence including rape, sexual content and language

There is a not-too-graphic rape scene as well as attempted rape. In the rapes scene, basically all you see are close-ups of the victims and rapists faces, along with some noise (no nudity). It is very disturbing and hard to watch as it is meant to be portrayed more brutally rather than sexually.

Later in the film, there is a scene with one of the rapists and a naked hooker in a Las Vegas hotel room. She is fully naked (her breasts are clearly seen, but her pubic region for the most part is obscured by darkness).

Violence & Gore

There is a beginning scene where a man's privates are blown away by a gun (and later we see the dead corpse holding his privates). Then there is a shootout at a coffee shop and few assassination attempts to the main character.

A woman kills her victims by shooting them in there genitals then shooting them in the head. Never really shown but implied and heard as one man gasps for air.

Flashbacks depicting rape are very disturbing

The women are also treated brutally in the film from being raped, shot at and mauled.

Finally, the main antagonist is shot at and impaled on a unicorn's horn. Inevitably, there is blood.

There is a standard amount of swearing from various characters with a few mild F bombs.

Up to about 8 F-words (1-2 might be incomplete), then a fair amount of other profanity, and some other colorful phrases including 2 dik*s and 1 c*nt and 'Chr*st'

During the main rape scene, a woman character is drinking. There is also some smoking during a wedding scene and continual smoking from a female character throughout the film.

Beer is also drank by Callahan and various characters.

There are a few intense and frightening scenes in the film. They are mostly flashbacks- with the most intense being that of the actual rape.

The film has an intense, brutal rape scene- hence the character's motivations in the movie. There are about 5 rapists ganging up on 2 females and quick images of faces and the victims.

This is the darkest film in Dirty Harry franchise.
