Lori doesn't know what to do and turns to her father's journals filled with psychology and metaphysics for answers. One day, a client coming to see about the boarding of his horse, crashes in a plane with his best friend. The friend manages to escape tragedy, but the client, Terry Stockton, dies in the accident. However, Lori can see and actually touch the supposedly dead Terry after she finds him in the woods. After some struggle, Lori comes to believe that she is meant to help Terry. With the aid of her father's journals and Terry's best friend, they try to find out why Terry's spirit hasn't crossed over. What a neat movie!
1 March 2005 | by (Oregon) – See all my reviews

I found this movie at Walmart for 88 cents - it was marked $1. I bought it because I really enjoy Sarah Jessica Parker's earlier stuff (not so much her later stuff, though), and I thought I would give it a try. At the very least, I was out less than a dollar.

I just finished watching it, and I must say, it is really interesting, and it has a great moral. You should always live life as if you knew you were going to die - and what would you do to make your life better. It's not about money, power, wealth, or any of those things that Hollywood would like you to believe, but it is about caring, second chances, and real love, and is about what life is really about.

Sure, it's low budget, and it is from the early 80's, but if you can get past that, it has a great message, and some of the acting is pretty good, too!

It's just too bad that Tom Shea was only in this movie, and in only one other movie - a pretty bad one at that. He was good in this one, and kinda cute, too.

All in all, I would rate it at a 7, simply for the message it contains. If you can manage to get your hands on a copy, I highly recommend it.
