A bold role for Veronica Hamel
safenoe25 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This fine and insightful movie deserves a remake. It had a decent level of sophistication, made 10 years before Basic Instinct. Veronica deserved to be a huge motion picture star beyond Hill Street Blues, but anyway, Sessions stands on its own. A remake would be welcome, perhaps starring one of the One Direction folk I guess.

Great TV movie about high-class prostitute's life and attempts to love.
freebird-102 September 2001
This role is actually a good one for Veronica Hamel--her iron edge serves her well as a prostitute who is in therapy to try to figure out what she really wants out of life. It doesn't preach and manages to rise above the "she was molested as a child and so is mastering the trauma through hooking" formula that TV and Howard Stern like to swear by. And the therapy sessions are actually pretty good. Don't miss it if you have two hours to kill.

Nice escapism...

In this movie, Veronica Hamel portrays a NYC call- girl/escort. She (Hamel) looks stunning, and while the story has been done, she adds something to the film.

Basically, it boils down to money brings self-esteem. She is trying to make a living, and support her daughter in an expensive NY apartment. Her father never gave her credit; now she is making money, so she should be happy- right?.

Also, if you love Hamel you may also want to rent the Jane Fonda movie "Klute". Veronica Hamel has a bit part as an auditioning model, and looks stunning. 8/10.
