MGM was the one who invested and put up all the money for the films' advertising and post-production. This would also be the very last film they would be involved with calling it "Dry as the Sahara desert...it was awful".

Star Brooke Shields was expected to drive on-location as part of her role, but was too young at the time of filming to do so legally. Special permission had to be arranged with the local government, to allow her to drive for the movie.
