This is a typical David Hamilton movie. It's basically an excuse to string together photos of extremely attractive teenagers. The plot explores themes found in Hamilton's photography (see Age of Innocence), which is fine, but the ending is a little unexpected and badly done. Don't read the following lines if you haven't seen the movie, but I can't sympathize with somebody who enjoys losing their virginity to someone who's just learned their wife has died.
