Martin Nosseck had moved to Hollywood in 1926 to become an actor and became well-known and respected after he opened up his own screening studio on Sunset Blvd. where Tom McLoughlin and Michael Hawes worked as projectionists. He was often asked to appear in films, from such elite names as Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda, and he always turned them down. After discussing their passion for filmmaking with Tom and Michael, he agreed to appear in "One Dark Night", at the time called "Rest in Peace". After filming his scenes he expressed his sincerest gratitude to Tom and disappeared into the dark cemetery. Two days later he passed away. When his family came home from the funeral, his check had come in the mail from "Rest in Peace Productions". See more »

What was that pill you gave to Julie?
Demerol. She's gonna get so messed up, she won't know what's goin' on. So what's the deal?
Well, I don't like it.
[Appalled by Leslie's comment]
So, I just don't like it!
Then, you're not coming?
I don't know!
You know, I oughta pull over right now and let you out!
Yeah, why don't you?
[Pulls over to the side of the tunnel and stops the car]
Kitty, open the door and let this turkey out!

Multiply named and strangely casted, "One Dark Night" aka "Mausoleum", is one of the better early horror video-rentals. Original and quite raw, we meet Adam West briefly in this film about telekinesis and teen-age headgames. Meg Tilly is dared into spending the night in a crypt by "The Sisters" a high-school gang of hair-hoppers in blue satin jackets. The initiation is interrupted by the recently interred body of a mass-murdering psychic wizard called "Raymar". Surprisingly awesome make-up and scare effects paints this chiller film with style and deliver a heart-pounding climax.
