Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

The only real violence/gore that happens in this movie is in the first segment "Terror in Topanga":

- A man is stabbed to death with a knife, very bloody. This is the scene that got the movie an R rating

- A man is shot to death, some blood is seen on his clothes.

Another segment has a brief scene where a dying little boy has some blood on him.

Very little, if any. Not enough for an R rating.

- The first segment revolves around a woman who chain smokes and goes out in the middle of the night to get cigarettes.

- It is implied that a priest is an alcoholic, a liquor bottle is seen next to his bed

There are a few frightening and eerie scenes throughout, as this is a horror movie.

Rated: R for brief violence
