This movie is w-a-y too long! If they re-edited this into a 50 minute tv movie you may very well have one of Irwin Allen's better tv movies. But, sadly, this movie is not 50 minutes.
The action/disaster footage on the shaking bridge (which resembles Beyond The Poseidon Adventure when things exploded and fell down all of the time) is actually very entertaining and done with great effects and very disaster-sounding music, in fact the score for this film was never used before by Irwin.
Adventure fans might enjoy seeing James MacArthur in this film. When MacArthur was just 23 he had the role of his life in the wonderful 1960 movie version of "The Swiss Family Robinson". The then good looking MacArthur played "Fritz Robinson". And here is 20 years later with Irwin Allen (who also did a "Swiss Family Robinson" but in 1975).
