Excellent Drama/Thriller
11 March 2009 | by (Sweden) – See all my reviews

What an excellent little unknown drama/thriller i happened to find on an Swedish auction site Tradera, i expected an usual Horror, Thriller movie, but i was positively surprised, this is not an Thriller or an Horror movie, it is an psychological Drama.

It is about a woman who comes to a beautiful little English village, with a suitcase full of money, she has no memory at all. She buys a some notes, and start to write down, what she thinks, who she thinks she is. She stars to meet people who says that they know her, she off course has no idea, but then things start to happen, an elderly woman is attacked in her shop, after Nelly, the so called woman visited her shop, an fire starts at a house Nelly just visited. Is she responsible?, no one knows, a detective stars questioning her, but she dosen't know if she is responsible. Then a so called son of her starts popping up, then her so called husband, she has no memory at all, at the start.

But then her memory starts coming back, i will not revile anything more.

For an English TV-movie from the early 1980s, this is a great movie, it even has some sexuality in the movie, I'm not a fan of that in movies, but it was great anyhow.

Eileen Atkins proves what a great actress she is, her lines in the movie, are great. Barbara Jefford also proves she is a good actress.

This movie seems so forgotten, so it would be nice, if it would be available on DVD some day...........
