This movie accurately describes the accomplishment of chief hydraulic engineer Mr. Bing Li 2500 years ago, and his name is used as the title of this movie.
The Du River Project was built at the Si-Chuan (Four River) province of western part of China for irrigation, navigation, flood control, and forestation purposes and the contribution is so great that people built an temple for him and his son. Although around 2500 years old, the project still works today.
