A farm widow who has been impoverished by the siphoning of her water supply. A nearby big-city aqueduct has priority over water rights, leaving the rural outskirts virtually dry. Attempting to bring her cause to the forefront, McGuire dynamites the reservoir, half-hoping that she'll be "martyred" in the process. When she fails to arouse public support, she targets the local power plant for her next blast. Assistant DA Victoria Racimo, who as an orphaned Indian girl had been virtually raised by McGuire, decides to challenge the water-department bureaucracy on McGuire's behalf. Written by
She's mad as hell and she's not going to take it anymore!
This film is set in the arid West where water is the most precious resource. A bunch of city folk dam the river so they can have all the water. The long time land owners downstream now see their wells go dry and their once green pastures turn to dust.
One old lady, Dorothy McGuire, gets some dynamite and blows up the dam! This is very bad news for all the powers that be because they don't want any publicity. The problem is that this old lady won't be silenced.
I was surprised to see that this is a made for TV movie. It was excellent. I gave it an 8.
