Sharks, dogs, rats, snakes, even earthworms. Any one of them (being big enough, or with enough of their friends) can kill you dead…quickly. The animal world is pretty much a bastard with big teeth and an insatiable appetite waiting to eat whatever lesser life form comes across its path. Piranha 3Dd is the newest reminder of that.
Everyone loves their favorite pet and can't get enough of happy little penguins or otters or other cute creatures, but the truth is animals can be simply brutal. Just keep that little fact in the back of your mind the next time you bend down to pet a strange dog. Snap! Goodbye nose. With that in mind, and with Piranha 3Dd hitting the open waters, isn't it only fitting that we would take a look back at the Top 13 Killer Animal Films of All Time?!?!
Of course we mustn't forget our honorable mentions! »

This one’s for Martha …
Nothing like a good book to get the rabble-rousers going.
In Field Of Dreams, Ray Kinsella’s wife, played by Amy Madigan, successfully shuts down the effort to ban Terence Mann’s books from the local Iowa school system. Terence Mann – played by James Earl Jones – was based on J.D. Salinger, the reclusive author of Catcher In The Rye.
Catcher was published in 1951, and has pretty much stayed on “attempts to ban it” lists since its publication. In fact, it was the most censored book in America from 1961 to 1982, even though, according to Wikipedia, it was the “second most taught book in United States public schools.” It most recently reappeared on the “most challenged books” list, published by American Library Association, in 2009.
These are some of the books I remember being on the curriculum when I was in school, along some that I missed because »

When it comes to favorites around the Dread Central offices, few actors hold a spot higher than the always excellent Dee Wallace (The Howling, Rob Zombie's Halloween, Cujo, Critters, E.T.). This lady has done it all, and now she's about to tango with big red himself.
Bloody Disgusting got word that Wallace will be starring in the new film from Gregori J. Martin (The Intruders, Raven) Unhallowed, which shoots February in Los Angeles and New York.
Along with Wallace, Kristos Andrews, Gabrielle Stone, and Miriam Colon (who is still in talks) star. Martin's latest is in the vein of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist. It follows a family who loses their son and seeks guidance from a spiritual healer whom many believe to be the reincarnation of Luke (from the Bible). Cue supernatural happenings, vigorous readings from the Bible, and the usual Satanic hijinx.
