In the big race, the leading horse is shown to unseat its rider at the third fence (jockey with pink and black spots) A few minutes later, the same horse and jockey combination are back up with the pace.

Factual errors 

At the start of the film, Bob Champion and Aldaniti are seen winning a race at Chepstow racecourse. Aldaniti never raced at Chepstow.

The tiny silver horseshoe 'lucky charm' was not given to Bob Champion by Jo Beswick when she visited him in hospital. It was sent to him by a couple from Cheltenham, with instructions that he should carry it in the race.
