This was a documentary-type show about Walt's dream from animation through to Disneyland and the nail-biting suspense of the opening of Walt Disney World

It also co-starred Michael Landon and Dick Van Dyke as presenters (at Disneyland and WDW respectively).

Each stage of development had it's own little vignette, including a look at the early animation, milestones such as the first full-colour cartoon "Flowers and trees", the integration of Animation and Live action (featuring Mary Poppins clips) and the introduction and development of Audio-animatronics. It was the Theme Parks that I was most interested in, however and these were well covered.

The Theme Park segments (like all the others)featured musical numbers to support the facts, such as the upbeat "We can do it" (build a dream) which features the capers by Dick Van Dyke as he (and hundreds of helpers) get Walt Disney World ready to open by Deadline, and earlier in the show an interesting comment on Walt's own doubts about the opening popularity of Disneyland where Walt (represented by Michael Landon) walks through the about-to-be-opened park singing a lament: "What if nobody comes?"

Alas, I have only my memory to guide me as my copy of this wonderful show has been lost to time, but One Man's Dream lives on as a fond memory.
